Would you like to realize an exponential return on your next investment?

Please please please do not spend $30,000 on real estate investment education. Education should not cost you an arm and a leg or put you in debt. The Salt Lake real estate investors Association is a nonprofit organization that dedicated to helping investors grow their knowledge base and push their real estate careers to the next level.

The club has three main types of education. The first is monthly meetings which are included with the membership. Meetings usually have two Keynote speakers and three sponsors (to keep costs low and offer benefits to the club). The keynote speakers are chosen by the board of directors and they volunteer their time to teach about various investing topics. Keynote speakers are experts on their topic and can provide insight into hard to answer questions. Some past topics include investing in an IRA account, systemizing your business, how to get started in commercial real estate, what tax changes have been made in 2015, and even the personal stories of investors who have been buying real estate for 30+ years. There are not many places where you can go and learn from so many experts on so many different topics. These keynote speakers are very respectful of our formatting and will never push products or market to the members.
Sponsors on the other hand are expected to give a presentation about their product and service in order to provide discounts to members as well as help fund the meetings and keep costs low. Sponsors can be anyone who registers and some past sponsors have been flooring companies, insurance companies, wholesalers, lawyers, cabinet makers, Hardmoney lenders, and property managers just to name a few.

The next form of education is paid seminars. At the seminars we need to rent space to host the event and provide food for the members as well as pay the keynote speakers. For this reason these events must be paid events. Topics on this include bird dogging and wholesaling seminars, the annual bus tour, door knocking for dollars, and even negotiating with sellers. The topics on the seminars are always changing which gives variety to our members. The seminars are often hosted on Saturdays.

The third form of education comes from free events. Each month there are three investment lunches that are hosted in Layton, downtown, and Midvale. Attendance to the lunches are free, but you are expected to pay for your own lunch and tip generously. The lunch is provided great networking opportunity as well as content on various topics. Past topics include 1031 exchange is, evaluating rental portfolios, gaining $10,000 passive income, landlord being advice, and many more topics. Aside from the lunches, we will periodically host free investment seminars, networking events such as BBQs, and more.
